Website Developments November 2011

Our website servers have been renewed and are now hosted by One.com in Denmark. Not only are they more economical than our 123.reg predecessors, they now boast 3 times the space giving us lots of room for good quality photos.

The Archive pages are still in progress, and can be seen on our SEASONS REVIEW pages, complete with photo montage animations of the Finals Weekend and Presentation Evenings. The page for each season will show final League standings together with match reports and Andy Picknell's summary of the highs and lows of the City Pool League's year. Almost complete is the Review for 2010 - 2011 which you can see HERE

The ROLL OF HONOUR pages are now up and running in two formats, one for those of you with Broadband and an ALTERNATIVE for those on slower connections or those who don't like or don't get on with Flash animations. Everyone's a winner baby.......

Jimmy White at The Arches

The Arches have arranged a meeting of exhibition pool and snooker with the legendary Jimmy White, to take place on Sunday November 20th. Tickets go on sale this Saturday priced at £10 each.

Now for the good bit, Steve Gough has arranged for Jimmy to play pool against 15 locals. Each of these matches will cost you £40 for the privilege of playing the 'Whirlwind', and are very much on a first come first served basis. 3 places have already gone, leaving 12 up for grabs.

If the £40 is a bit too steep for you, why not arrange a knockout in your local between 8 of you at £5 a head. The winner then has his entrance fee to play Jimmy.
